About The Team
The Dashboard team focuses on making Stripe seamless for every merchant, ensuring a tailored experience regardless of business structure or products used. This role is aligned with the Dashboard team and is also part of Stripe's centralized Content Design organization, a group dedicated to bringing clarity to users through writing, strategy, and sense-making.
What you'll do as a Staff Content Designer, Dashboard
As a Staff Content Designer, Dashboard, you will strategically shape high-impact projects and craft elegant interface copy, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable language. Content designers at Stripe are deeply embedded in problem spaces, collaborating closely with product designers as equal partners in the product development process. You will work within small, iterative cross-functional teams while benefiting from the camaraderie and support of a centralized Content Design team.
- Lead content design for new product experiences, aligning business goals with user needs.
- Scope and prioritize work to achieve business goals and enhance user experiences.
- Regularly present work to leaders, synthesizing feedback for rapid solution refinement.
- Shape and scribe interaction flows, information architecture, and microcopy.
- Define, map, and name concepts across Stripe's product suite.
- Facilitate content critiques and workshops, advise partners on content execution, and create tools and templates for content creation.
- Collaborate with product teams across Stripe to ensure cohesive user experiences and improve design systems.
- Champion craft and product excellence by example.
Who you are
We are seeking candidates who meet the minimum requirements, with preferred qualifications being a bonus.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or content strategy.
- Experience working on technical and/or B2B products, translating complex concepts into clear, intuitive language.
- A portfolio demonstrating content across various surfaces and channels (web, email, and product interfaces).
- Proven ability to drive large-scale information architecture projects.
- Experience presenting work to senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing content for complex financial products and/or highly regulated industries.
Work Arrangement and Location
This role supports a hybrid work model, allowing for either an in-office presence or a remote location (35+ miles/56+ km from a Stripe office). Office-assigned employees spend at least 50% of the month in their local office. Remote employees primarily work from home but are welcome to visit offices for meetings and events. Stripe does not cover relocation costs for remote roles.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $188,000 - $282,000, which may be narrowed based on experience, qualifications, and location during the interview process. Additional benefits include equity, company bonus, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
