Recruiter at Stripe

At Stripe, we're on a mission to make privacy and user ownership the default online, through our Privy team. We are seeking a Recruiter who views hiring as a craft, possessing refined taste in talent, sharp judgment, and the dedication to complete every search. In this role, you will manage end-to-end searches for both technical and non-technical positions, contributing to building a team that embodies the highest standards. This opportunity is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced, precise, and impactful environment.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and execute end-to-end searches: define roles with hiring managers, source exceptional talent, conduct assessments, and close candidates effectively.
  • Apply critical judgment and taste at every decision point, consistently raising the bar and guiding interviewers to achieve clear, high-signal outcomes.
  • Design a superior candidate experience, ensuring every interaction—from initial outreach to final offer—reflects Stripe's talent brand and excellence.
  • Influence and align leaders on what "great" looks like, embedding sound decision-making practices throughout the organization.
  • Build recruiting as a product: develop and refine processes, tools, and feedback loops that enable rapid hiring without sacrificing quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a strong preference for in-house experience.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with hiring teams, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the recruitment process.
  • Demonstrated high agency, comfort with ambiguity in a dynamic organization, and ability to thrive with significant autonomy and responsibility.
  • Track record of attracting passive candidates and cultivating diverse talent pipelines.
  • An active and data-driven approach to problem-solving; adept at identifying trends and leveraging insights to enhance process efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evidence of excellent judgment regarding people and roles, with the ability to guide others towards optimal decisions.
  • Comfort operating with urgency in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Taste: an innate ability to identify exceptional talent beyond what's on a resume.
  • Judgment: a reliable decision-maker who can distinguish crucial signals from background noise.

In-office Expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most locations are generally expected to spend at least 50% of the month in their local office or with users. This may vary by role, team, and location, with some sites having higher in-office requirements. The hiring manager will discuss specific attendance needs for this role, balancing in-person collaboration with flexibility.

The annual US base salary range for this Recruiter role is $143,200 - $214,800. This range may cover multiple career levels and will be refined during the interview process based on experience, qualifications, and location.
