About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, enabling millions of companies, from startups to enterprises, to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, offering an unprecedented opportunity to contribute to the global economy and engage in impactful work.
About The Team
The Global Partner Engineering and Operations (PE&O) team is a critical component of Stripe’s Global Partnerships organization. We manage the technical and operational aspects of strategic product partnerships and programs. Our position at the intersection of product development, engineering, and partnerships ensures seamless collaboration crucial for Stripe’s rapid growth. The team consists of diverse technical and business professionals focused on executing operations with financial ecosystem partners, ensuring efficient technical onboarding, implementation, and ongoing 'Keep-The-Lights-On' (KTLO) activities, while meeting strict quality and performance benchmarks. We also initiate partner-agnostic programs and solutions to address broad ecosystem challenges and develop tools for enhanced operational efficiency and scalability.
In This Role
The PE&O team is establishing a new function to oversee Card Network Compliance. As a Program Manager, Card Network Office, you will be responsible for developing programs and processes to manage card network changes and their implications for both Stripe and its users. This role is essential for staying informed about card network announcements, enhancing Stripe’s strategic position, and driving operational efficiency in response to these changes. This is an exciting opportunity to build a function from the ground up and formulate strategies aligned with the best interests of Stripe and its users.

- Implement Release Management Process: Establish a release management process for Stripe in accordance with Card Network mandates. Advise cross-functional partners on impacts, changes, and timelines, conducting comprehensive analyses of mandate effects on processes and services.
- Review Card Network Releases: Analyze biannual card network releases to identify key initiatives impacting Stripe’s business. Collaborate cross-functionally for visibility and prioritization, facilitating communication between engineering teams and Card Network Technical Partner Managers for clarifications and negotiations.
- Monitor Compliance: Establish a framework and process for monitoring compliance with card network requirements and internal policies. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement strategies.
- Develop Metrics and Dashboards: Create and implement comprehensive metrics and JIRA dashboards to monitor, review, and analyze mandates for each release cycle. Regularly update dashboards to reflect business priorities, enabling informed decisions and proactive issue resolution.
- Manage Mandate Intake Process: Oversee the network mandate intake process, ensuring timely review, assessment, and prioritization. Lead proactive management of waiver requests, liaising between compliance and operational teams for resolution.
- Engage with External Partners: Actively participate in card network councils, forums, and strategic meetings. Establish and nurture relationships to facilitate mutual understanding of goals and objectives.
- Advocate for Stripe: Serve as a dedicated advocate for Stripe within the card network ecosystem, ensuring Stripe’s unique perspectives, challenges, and opportunities are considered by network stakeholders.
