Job Description

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform enabling millions of companies, from startups to large enterprises, to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, offering an unprecedented opportunity to contribute to the global economy.

About The Product Marketing Team

The Product Marketing team at Stripe is dedicated to generating customer insights that inform product strategy and leading the go-to-market for our diverse suite of products. This is a highly cross-functional role, involving close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Demand Generation, and Campaigns teams. Unlike many other Product Marketing teams, we are involved across the entire product lifecycle, from shaping the product roadmap to driving launch, commercialization, and post-launch adoption.

We are actively seeking experienced Product Marketing Managers to influence product roadmaps, spearhead launches, and drive adoption for critical products such as Payments Intelligence, Payouts, Tax, Billing, and Link. You will also develop our go-to-market strategy for key user segments, including Enterprises and Startups. In this role, you will be responsible for developing compelling messaging and positioning, crafting narratives that highlight product value to customers, and engaging cross-functional teams across sales, campaigns, demand generation, and product to boost overall awareness, pipeline, and revenue among Stripe’s existing customer base and prospects.

What You'll Do as a Product Marketing Manager

  • Be a storyteller: Develop deep empathy for users and adapt communication styles to effectively engage audiences and differentiate Stripe's offerings. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Lead with data: Utilize data and insights alongside user passion to form balanced and thoughtful strategies for market entry and product growth.
  • Keep things organized: Effectively manage complex, interdependent projects and keep multiple work streams on track.
  • Have a passion for technology: Show keen interest in understanding how technology works and adeptly explain technical concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Be Ambitious: Drive significant impact within Stripe, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, hyper-growth environment. Operate fluidly between strategic oversight and micro-level execution.
  • Act as a team player: Collaborate extensively across the Marketing team and with various other Stripe teams, working effectively with a range of disciplines to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling messaging and positioning for Stripe products or specific user segments.
  • Create high-impact campaign-level content and essential sales enablement assets.
  • Collaborate closely with product, partnerships, and partner marketing (demand generation) teams to construct a robust marketing strategy focused on driving awareness, demand, and usage of our products.
  • Empower sales teams with a deep understanding of our product value propositions and competitive advantages.

Who We're Looking For

We encourage you to apply if you meet the following minimum requirements for this role:

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of prior product marketing experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to translate complex technical features into clear customer benefits for various audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data proactively to identify opportunities and deliver impactful results.

Hybrid Work at Stripe

This role supports a hybrid work model, available either in an office location or as a remote position (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

In-Office Expectations

Office-assigned Stripes are expected to spend at least 50% of a given month in their local office or engaging with users. This approach balances the benefits of in-person collaboration and learning with individual and team flexibility.

Working Remotely at Stripe

Remote locations are defined as 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from a Stripe office. While remote employees are welcome to visit offices for team meetings, on-sites, and events, regular work is expected to be performed from home. Stripe does not cover relocation costs for remote roles, and applicants are encouraged to apply for positions matching their current or planned living location.
