Job Description

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About The Team

Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, and lead go-to-market for our suite of products. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Demand Generation and Campaigns to name a few. Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch. We also drive both self-serve and sales-sold marketing efforts.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager, Stripe Billing to help drive the marketing strategy and execution for one of our fastest growing products, Stripe Billing. As PMM for Stripe Billing, you will be responsible for supporting our go-to-market strategy and own product-level messaging and positioning. In this role, you will manage product growth initiatives in partnership with Product Growth, and enable our sales teams on Stripe Billing functionality and how to position to target segments. You will engage teams across product growth, sales, campaigns, and demand generation to drive overall awareness, pipeline, and revenue for Stripe Billing across Stripe’s existing customer base and prospects.

What you’ll do

  • Develop messaging and positioning for Stripe Billing.
  • Develop campaign-level content as well as sales enablement assets.
  • Work closely with product, partnerships, and partner marketing (demand generation) teams to build a marketing strategy, with the goal of driving awareness, demand, and usage of Stripe Billing.
  • Enable sales teams to understand the value of Stripe Billing and competitive solutions.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

  • A Storyteller: You have deep empathy for users and are able to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience and differentiate Stripe. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Data-Led: You like working with data and insights and pair that with your passion for users to generate balanced and thoughtful points of view for how to take our products to market.
  • Organized: You are able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track.
  • Passionate about Technology: You are keen to learn about how things work and are able to explain technical concepts in ways that everyday people can understand.
  • Ambitious: You are eager to make an impact at Stripe. You thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic, hyper-growth environment and are able to operate fluidly between the 30,000-foot strategy level and the micro-detail to get things right.
  • Team Player: Product Marketers collaborate across the Marketing team and with basically every team at Stripe. You are able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5-8 years prior product marketing experience, with a strong preference for candidates with experience working in B2B settings.
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS or Product Growth strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience translating technical features into benefits for a technical audience.
  • Be able to leverage data to proactively identify opportunities and drive impactful results.

Hybrid Work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Working remotely at Stripe

A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.
