About The Team

The Product Design team at Stripe collaborates with Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, and Marketing to create user-facing aspects of the Stripe brand. This role is part of the Support team, responsible for designing experiences across the entire user support journey, both for merchants and support agents.

What You’ll Do

As a leader in the Support Design team, you will shape systems, products, and customer-facing experiences for support at Stripe. You will drive initiatives from inception to maturity, overseeing both merchant-facing and support agent interfaces across various channels including Dashboard, Link, and Checkout. You will also be leading and growing a team of experienced designers, working closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and senior leadership to deliver impactful work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand a critical team of designers working on front door surfaces and support products.
  • Partner with Product Management to identify and prioritize new product initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Design and leadership to set design direction across products.
  • Inspire and motivate designers at all levels to achieve excellence.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver effective, high-quality work.

Who You Are

You have over 5 years in people management and 8+ years in design experience in tech or product-driven companies. You excel in motivating teams, recruiting talent, and crafting user-focused designs, particularly for complex platforms and enterprise software. Effective communication and collaboration are key.

Work Arrangement

This role is hybrid, allowing work either in an office or remotely from 35+ miles away from a Stripe office. Office-assigned employees are expected to spend at least 50% of their time in the office.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for the primary location is CA$197,400 - CA$296,000, with additional potential bonus, equity, and benefits that vary by location and role level.
