The Web Presence Platform (WPP) team is divided into two pillars. The Presence pillar focuses on creating industry-leading designs and engaging user experiences, while the Platform pillar builds the internal systems that power these websites.
About The Role
As an Engineering Manager for the Web Presence Platform Expansion team, you will blend technical expertise with a user-first mindset. You will coach and mentor a distributed team, ensuring technical excellence, fostering user engagement, and driving strategic growth initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Empower your team through leadership, mentorship, and coaching.
- Champion a user-first approach and gather actionable feedback.
- Drive technical excellence including SEO and interactive content.
- Collaborate across global teams and communicate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute data-driven marketing and user acquisition strategies.
- Enhance user experience by establishing feedback channels.
- Oversee product delivery ensuring high-quality and bug minimization.
- Build a diverse talent pool and foster innovative thinking.
- Streamline cross-team communications across AMER and EMEA regions.
Who You Are
You are a seasoned engineering manager with 2-4 years managing teams and 8+ years in software engineering. You bring a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, an emphasis on user adoption, and experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Minimum Requirements
- 2-4 years of direct engineering management experience and 8+ years in software engineering.
- Proven experience managing distributed teams across NA and EMEA.
- A history of building diverse teams and leading large technical projects.
- Strong ability to build scalable, resilient, and observable systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fintech or regulated industry experience.
- Experience with data-driven experiments and growth hacking.
- Ability to foster a collaborative remote work culture.
- Familiarity with regional regulatory impacts on product development.
Work Arrangement
This role is hybrid, available in-office or remote (35+ miles from a Stripe office), with an expectation of at least 50% in-office time for office-assigned employees.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is CA$177,600 - CA$266,400, accompanied by equity, bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends. Specifics may vary based on location and candidate experience.
