About The Team

The Data Science team at Stripe is a collaborative environment for data analysts and data scientists. You will engage with fundamental and exciting data to drive company-wide initiatives. We have diverse Data Analytics roles, and you will be aligned to the most relevant team based on your background.

What You'll Do

• Partner deeply with various Stripe teams to provide models, data products, and insights for decision-making and responsible growth.
• Collaborate closely with partners to extract valuable insights from Stripe's extensive and complex data.
• Translate business needs into solvable data problems, working alongside leadership.
• Build essential metrics, scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and reports to inform and operate the business efficiently.
• Deliver actionable business recommendations through thorough analyses and compelling data storytelling.

Minimum Requirements

• MS/MA with 2 years or BS/BA with 3 years of full-time experience (excluding internships) in Business Intelligence Engineering, Data Analyst, or Business Analyst roles.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects meticulously and deliver results.
• Strong communication skills to articulate findings clearly and drive impact.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and dashboards for actionable insights based on stakeholder needs.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights, benchmarks, and actionable recommendations.
• Capability to empower stakeholders by building self-service tools and offering training for data literacy and autonomous reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at a growth-stage internet or software company.
• Experience with distributed data frameworks like Spark for writing and debugging data pipelines.
• Good understanding of development processes and best practices including engineering standards, code reviews, and testing.
• Strong statistical knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Experience creating leadership-level reporting such as QBRs and MBRs.

In-office Expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most locations are expected to spend at least 50% of the time monthly in their local office or with users. This may vary by role, team, and location (e.g., Bucharest, Romania 80%; Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India 100% for Delivery Center roles). Specific team requirements will be discussed by the hiring manager, balancing collaboration with flexibility.

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €69,600 - €104,400, subject to change based on location. This range may encompass several career levels and will be refined during the interview process based on experience, qualifications, and specific location. Benefits may include equity, company bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends, detailed per location during interviews.
