Job Description
Who we are
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, serving millions of companies globally. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, offering an unparalleled opportunity to impact the global economy.
What you’ll do
As a Content Activation Lead at Stripe, you will be instrumental in ensuring Stripe’s compelling stories reach the right audiences. This role bridges editorial, campaigns, demand generation, operations, and analytics, giving you ownership over content distribution strategy, merchandising, derivative content creation, experimentation, and performance measurement.
Responsibilities
Content Strategy
- Partner with global campaign leads to align content pieces with target audiences, regions, and lifecycle stages, developing channel-appropriate distribution plans.
- Stay current with modern storytelling techniques and propose innovative ways to bring messages to market.
Operations
- Collaborate with the Campaigns team to orchestrate content distribution across owned, earned, and paid channels: email, web, in-product, social (LinkedIn, X, YouTube), and more.
- Own content merchandising, atomizing longform pieces into derivatives such as emails, social posts, short videos, and infographics.
- Conduct A/B and multivariate tests, messaging and creative testing, and user research to identify what resonates with each campaign audience.
- Establish activation playbooks and modular content kits, enabling cross-functional teams like PMM, Campaigns, regional marketing, and Sales to utilize them.
- Thoughtfully leverage AI to scale content repackaging, summaries, thumbnails, and QA, while upholding human editorial standards.
Experimentation and Reporting
- Partner with Marketing Ops, Marketing Analytics, and Data Science to refine content performance measurement, build dashboards, conduct lift/incrementality analyses, and codify repeatable successful playbooks.
- Report on performance and insights through monthly/quarterly readouts, driving continuous feedback loops with Campaigns, PMM, and regional teams.
Who you are
We are seeking an individual who meets the following minimum requirements:
Minimum Requirements
- An impact-oriented marketer focused on audience and channel, capable of transforming longform content into high-performing, channel-native assets with strong editing and creative briefing skills.
- Demand-oriented, possessing a deep understanding of demand generation mechanics across teams, tactics, and geographies, with a clear vision for content's role in driving outcomes.
- Structured and strategic, able to build clear frameworks, playbooks, and calendars that scale across regions, segments, and channels.
- Data fluent, skilled in designing experiments and interpreting results from funnel metrics, cohort, and content performance. Comfortable with GA4, Looker, Amplitude, marketing automation (e.g., Marketo/Braze), and A/B testing tools; basic SQL is a plus.
- Organized, adept at managing editorial calendars, cross-functional reviews, and timely delivery. Proficient with project tools (Asana/Airtable) and CMS workflows; solid vendor management.
- Strong editor and writer, moving fluidly from strategy to hands-on execution: briefing, writing, editing, storyboarding, and shipping high-quality derivatives.
- A collaborative team player, partnering closely with Editorial, Campaigns, PMM, Design, Marketing Ops, Analytics/DS, PR/Comms, Regional Marketing, and Sales, demonstrating strong stakeholder management and communication.
- Extensive experience: 10+ years in content marketing, activation, growth, or editorial roles at a B2B tech or fintech company (or equivalent). Working knowledge of SEO, social, email, paid amplification, localization, and accessibility best practices is required, and global experience is a plus.
