What you’ll do
The Compensation Partner will be responsible for the implementation and integration of our compensation strategy. Ideally, this person thrives in a fast-paced environment and naturally operates with a strategic mentality and an orientation towards problem-solving. They will closely partner with cross-functional teams, and align Stripe’s compensation philosophy with business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Implement Stripe’s rewards philosophy and principles in compensation related decisions and processes
- Act as a strategic partner to HR Business Partners, Recruiters, Managers, and the Executive team on all compensation matters
- Conduct analyses of market data in order to ensure compensation ranges are aligned to market and supporting the company’s people strategy
- Be data driven and stand for objectivity, independent decision taking, utmost credibility, and trustworthiness
- Ensure Stripe’s compensation programs are well communicated and understood across leadership, management, and individual contributors

Requirements
- At least 5+ years of work experience in developing and managing global compensation programs and processes for both public and private companies, preferably in a high-growth, scaling, technology environment
- A strong understanding of compensation best practices, current compensation trends, and market benchmark data
- Applies user-centered design principles to deliver improved processes and experiences
- Proven analytical skills, keen eye for detail, and have truly in-depth knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets including building and maintaining complex models
- The ability to communicate across diverse groups with clear, approachable, and collaborative style
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently when advising senior leaders
- A deep commitment to excellent customer service, empathy, and discretion
- Can balance multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities; approaching challenges with a positive, solution-oriented attitude
Working remotely at Stripe
A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.
Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $138,300 - $207,500. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
