About The Team
The Commercial Sales team at Stripe focuses on the acquisition, growth, retention, and expansion of mid-market customers. As an Account Executive, Commercial Existing Business, you will be instrumental in defining territory strategy, identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts, executing scaled sales strategies to boost revenue, and managing end-to-end campaigns to cultivate relationships and increase product adoption.
What you’ll do
As an Account Executive, Commercial Existing Business, you will play a pivotal role in fueling Stripe’s growth by expanding revenue from existing mid-market customers. This position also involves contributing to the establishment of a new team, broadening our engagement with the install base and refining Stripe's Go-To-Market motion.
Responsibilities
- Generate upsell opportunities to drive revenue growth across your assigned territory of approximately 100 accounts.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies focused on increasing revenue per user, encouraging new product adoption, and ensuring customer retention.
- Identify and deeply understand users’ pain points to propose tailored Stripe solutions and manage the entire sales cycle, from initial business case development to successful close.
- Oversee contract renewals and lead commercial negotiations aimed at increasing and retaining existing customer revenue while growing Stripe’s share of wallet.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various internal teams to resolve user challenges and contribute to the continuous improvement of Stripe’s product offerings.
Who you are
We are seeking candidates who meet the minimum requirements for this role. Preferred qualifications are a bonus but not strictly necessary for consideration.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of full sales cycle and closing experience specifically with existing business accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex technical requirements and architect solutions across a diverse range of technology products.
- Proficiency in performing quantitative analysis and independently managing pricing negotiations.
- Strong operational acumen, with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize a book of 100 accounts.
- Ability and motivation to thrive and operate successfully in highly ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- You will be required to work from the Chicago office three (3) days per week.
