Job Description

SUMMARY

This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment, working closely with accounting professionals on day-to-day operations, financial reporting, and compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with various month-end close accounting tasks (ex. journal entries, amortization schedules, reconciliations, etc.)
  • Support the year-end close processes; including engaging with internal and external audit partners
  • Help maintain financial records and ensure data accuracy
  • Conduct variance analysis and support budgeting efforts
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and reporting tasks as needed

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MBA/MS
  • A major in a Business or IT field is desired

  • Detail-oriented and organizational skills

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to clear the required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Accounting/Bookkeeping is a plus
  • Experience with Data Analytics
  • Experience with system administration

This position is virtual and open to residents of the 50 states, D.C.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market, and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

We anticipate the salary range to be $22 an hour. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
