Job Overview
A Creative Copywriter will support Senior Copywriters, ACD, and CD in developing multi-channel creative & copy that aligns with our clients’ overall brand strategies. This individual enjoys flexing their creativity and consistently levels-up the content and storytelling for a roster of primarily automotive clients. A Copywriter thrives in an agile environment, has a passion for creating their best work, possesses a can-do attitude, and is a driven self-starter.
Essential Responsibilities
- Write compelling, error-free content that aligns with client expectations and strategies.
- Develop engaging, on-brand copy across a broad range of mediums, including Direct Mail, Shoot-Based Scripts, Radio Scripts, Email, Live Reads, USP/Taglines, Landing Page Copy, Branded Marketing Copy, Social Media Copy, and Quarterly Concepts for Clients.
- Research industry trends, terminology, and competitive landscape to demonstrate subject-matter expertise.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with the clients’ brands & expectations.
- Coordinate props with the production team.
- Communicate effectively with team, account managers, editors, and client services to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure all scripts are submitted to pre-production on time, if applicable.
- Utilize Workfront proficiently and keep all project statuses up-to-date.
- Assist in performing Senior Copywriter duties in their absence, including proofreading and managing out-of-office lists.
- Adhere to processes and procedures set forth by the Creative Leadership Team.
- Understand and utilize Workfront to document all work and proofs.
- Communicate clearly and adhere to Stream’s 1-hour response policy.
- Take direction and feedback from management.
- Understand automotive compliance guidelines and regulations on creative execution.
- Attend monthly creative department meetings & weekly town halls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Media, Journalism, Newspaper, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in copywriting at an advertising agency, media company, or high-profile brand.
- Experience in automotive is a plus.
