The Role at Strava
As a Senior Engineer II Internal Platform on the Foundation team, you will shape and evolve Strava’s internal platform and administrative tooling. Your work modernizes internal systems for customer support teams, enhancing productivity and athlete experience.
- Design and build an internal admin portal for multiple teams.
- Develop shared platform services supporting languages such as Go, Python, JavaScript, and Scala.
- Migrate common actions to the cloud to streamline developer workflows.
- Improve license management, feature flags, and admin workflows.
- Explore AI-driven tools for enhancing productivity and security.
- Mentor engineers, drive internal tool adoption, and ensure best practices in security and compliance.
- Integrate or build CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring and alerting tools.
What You’ll Bring
You should have proven software engineering expertise, be comfortable with multiple languages or be willing to quickly learn new ones. Experience with internal tooling and cloud platforms (preferably AWS) is essential. An ownership mindset, strong mentoring skills, and the ability to drive initiatives while influencing cross-functional teams are key.
