The Role

Strategy is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive strategic sales into enterprise accounts within the assigned territory. The role requires prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new logo business while also managing account development for existing customers. This individual contributor role carries quota responsibility and demands a hunter mentality, strong pipeline generation skills, and proficiency with MEDDIC and Command of the Message.

Your Focus

  • Drive complex, enterprise-wide sales cycles.
  • Present Strategy’s value proposition to C-level business and IT stakeholders.
  • Prospect, develop, and close new business creating satisfied, referenceable customers.
  • Develop territory and target account plans with Inside Sales.
  • Manage individual sales pipeline with a balanced mix of prospects and firm proposals.

Role Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new logo business (70%) and develop existing accounts (30%).
  • Create effective business impact models, account plans, and win plans.
  • Prepare business cases, ROI, and TCO models.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Professional Services.
  • Coordinate industry events and user groups to generate market interest.
  • Report risks and prepare accurate sales forecasts using CRM.

Qualifications

Candidates must have 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in software products and services targeting large enterprises. A proven track record in over-quota performance, senior-level stakeholder engagement, and success in complex enterprise sales cycles is essential. Additional skills include strong pipeline generation, proficiency in MEDDIC and Command of the Message, and familiarity with Business Intelligence, AI, Data Analytics, CRM, ERP, and Cloud enterprise software sales.

Desirable Experience

Experience with Business Intelligence competitor products, Data Preparation, ETL, Databases, Analytics, Enterprise Data Warehouses, and Big Data is preferred.
