About the Academic Coach Role

The Academic Coach at Strategic Education, Inc is the primary contact for learners from orientation through program completion. The role includes coaching, motivating, mentoring, and guiding learners to overcome barriers, achieve academic success, and progress towards their educational goals.

Responsibilities

The Academic Coach will:

  • Assist learners in developing and executing academic plans.
  • Utilize analytics and outreach tools to drive engagement.
  • Monitor and mitigate academic risks through proactive communication.
  • Collaborate with faculty and university partners to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using various communication channels.

Essential Duties

  • Guide learners on academic planning and engagement.
  • Provide personalized support and strategic interventions.
  • Help learners navigate program changes and obstacles.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on policies and processes.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives and training sessions.
