Job Summary

Strand Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Engineer, Full Stack Software. Reporting to the Director of Computational Biology, you will build software and solve problems in computational biology and data handling across early drug discovery, preclinical, and clinical projects. You will work in a matrix-based environment and contribute strategically to the company.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build, validate, deploy, and operate computational tools for mRNA therapeutics.
  • Develop internal tools for next generation sequencing analysis and clinical data pipelines.
  • Create full stack web applications from database to API to GUI.
  • Develop gen-AI applications and integrate internal data sources.
  • Manage complete software development lifecycle including cloud computational infrastructure.
  • Mentor team members and work with external collaborators.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Bioengineering or related field with 3+ years experience.
  • Experience in biology-related fields and fast paced environments preferred.
  • Expertise in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks like React or Vue.
  • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL), Unix environments and version control tools like git.
  • Experience with Docker, AWS, and automated testing.
  • Excellent collaboration, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
