Overview
The Asset Management Associate at Stockbridge is part of the Core and Value-Add (CVA) platform. The role involves working on both funds and separate accounts with asset strategies ranging from core to value-add to ground-up developments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare financial models for property valuations, dispositions, and recapitalizations.
- Assist in property budgeting, business plans, and lease analyses.
- Support asset managers during property visits and market tours.
- Develop relationships with property managers, leasing brokers and joint-venture partners.
- Oversee ground-up construction and redevelopment opportunities.
- Create presentation materials for Investment Committee review.
Required Skills and Competencies
Candidates must have a BA or BS degree in real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics or related areas with strong academic credentials. A background of 3-5 years in real estate or finance is preferred, including portfolio analysis, commercial real estate valuation, cash flow forecasting, acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Argus Enterprise, and Excel is required alongside strong quantitative, writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision are essential.
