The Opportunity: Legal Assistant - Paralegal
Sterlington is seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy Legal Assistant - Paralegal to provide crucial document and deal-flow support within a high-volume transactional aviation practice. This role is perfectly suited for an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and demonstrates precision in deal-related work. The successful candidate will be integral to ensuring that transaction documents are meticulously formatted, organized, executed, and tracked.
Key Responsibilities:
- Format, revise, and finalize complex transactional documents using Microsoft Word.
- Segment and organize appended and ancillary documents efficiently.
- Manage the entire document execution process, including signature pages, execution versions, and closing sets.
- Manipulate PDFs using Adobe Acrobat for tasks such as merging, splitting, bookmarking, redacting, and converting.
- Convert and prepare clean, execution-ready documents.
- Organize and maintain files within document storage platforms like SharePoint and NetDocuments.
- Track deal flow comprehensively and maintain structured transaction records.
- Ensure a high level of responsiveness to ongoing deal activities.
What We're Looking For:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including styles, formatting, and document structuring.
- Strong command of Adobe Acrobat.
- Prior experience supporting practices in asset finance, aviation, banking, or similar fields is preferred.
- Experience with document management systems, particularly SharePoint and NetDocuments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active transactions concurrently.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- A strong sense of urgency and high responsiveness.
