About the Role: Billing Assistant at Steno
Steno’s Billing Team is actively seeking a Billing Assistant to join their dynamic team, dedicated to revolutionizing the court reporting industry. As Steno’s Billing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing for our providers and clients. This involves managing invoices, monitoring communications, and coordinating seamlessly across internal and external teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should possess a solid understanding of billing procedures and strong analytical skills, committed to completing every task with precision and professionalism while delivering white-glove service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process the majority of all invoicing for providers or firms.
- Support the billing manager and billing associates with organizational projects and other tasks as required.
- Serve as a primary interface with both internal and external teams, maintaining open and efficient communication through strong written and verbal skills.
- Deliver excellent and hospitable customer service, reflecting Steno's commitment to caring for both team members and clients.
What Will Make You Successful
- 1+ years of experience in high-volume billing, data entry, or invoicing; legal or court reporting billing experience is a significant plus.
- Proficiency with both Mac and PC operating systems, with the ability to quickly master new software and systems.
- Preferred experience with Google Workspace and Slack; bonus points for familiarity with wiki platforms.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing diverse responsibilities ("wearing multiple hats").
- Ability to work independently and learn on the fly in a fast-paced, remote setting.
- Enthusiasm for working within a rapidly growing tech startup and a desire for professional growth within the company.
