Job Description

We are seeking an experienced technical professional with a strong, pro-active drive for results in project execution. This role will be responsible for autonomous concept definition, planning of software tests, and development of a comprehensive test strategy.

The Lead System Integration Engineer will lead self-organized teams in developing and implementing software test designs and specifications. You will lead test case development and execution in complex test environments and for complex systems under test, where necessary.

This role involves initiating and potentially leading test capability growth initiatives to align with organizational vision and accelerate roadmap implementation. You will establish best practices for test concepts in pivotal areas like E/E core architecture technologies or technical domains such as ADAS, infotainment, telematics, or electrification.

Key responsibilities include managing systematic software test execution, coordinating test activities across multiple teams, reviewing abstract test case specifications, creating metrics, and reporting intermediate and final test results. You will also perform test risk analysis.

Main Activities

  • Responsible for developing a test strategy for a technical domain and/or project.
  • Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of validation and verification for the organization.
  • Define best practices for test concepts.
  • Manage and execute validation & verification tasks for a given set of projects, coordinating the work of several validation engineers.
  • Develop and implement a detailed V&V system test concept, including test objectives, test criteria, acceptance, and quality metrics for given functions and/or physical sub-systems within an E/E architecture design.
  • Application and implementation of test strategy.

Profile

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 3+ years of technical leadership in systems architecture/vehicle network development and industrialization, at a sub-system domain level.
  • High understanding of E/E architecture features and functions.
  • Strong experience within a technical domain such as ADAS, Infotainment, Telematics, or E/E architecture development.
  • Ability to read and analyze digital communications data (CAN/LIN/Ethernet).
  • Ability to work on vehicles, SIL/HIL benches, and in a test environment (hands-on).
  • Good understanding of microprocessor-based electronics and electronic circuits.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of agile test methods and test automation.
  • Experience with complex test environments.
  • Experience with planning, status & risk reporting and escalation, prioritization, and global governance.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
  • Deep technical knowledge of E/E architecture and vehicle networks, their functions and features.
  • Deep understanding of automotive testing standards for distributed systems.
  • Experience testing in multiple development contexts (Linux, AUTOSAR, Android).
