Unified Communications and Conferencing System Engineer at Stefanini EMEA
Stefanini Group is actively seeking a Unified Communications and Conferencing System Engineer to enhance the technical capabilities of our Digital Workplace Platforms Tower within the Infrastructure Services Division.
This role is central to managing day-to-day technical operations, including remote administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting for a variety of conferencing platforms and MS Teams devices within our customer environments.
Our new colleague will engage in technical projects and support activities, as well as business requirements analysis, design, and solution implementation support. These tasks are crucial for delivering services to our customers in accordance with specific agreements.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing all aspects of videoconferencing systems. Furthermore, they will be adept at configuring new features and diagnosing video, voice, and communications faults on customer platforms. The ability to perform effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team, is essential.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous and efficient operation of in-scope systems through diligent troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of incidents, alongside routine maintenance activities.
- Ensure the correct implementation, configuration, use, and maintenance of technologies and environments related to Microsoft Teams and other Conferencing Devices.
- Focus on technical integration and consolidation activities to foster greater synergy within our delivery teams and with our customers' IT teams.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on assigned technologies for team members and customers.
- Administer, configure, and monitor relevant devices and services via the MS Teams Administration Center and other legacy platforms.
- Provide remote troubleshooting for videoconferencing and engage with 3rd level support or product groups for MS Teams Rooms and Polycom video conferencing devices until migration.
- Offer remote MS Teams related assistance for Smart Glasses and Phones.
- Collaborate with local field engineers to ensure videoconference room equipment (legacy and new) is operational and proactively verify consistent setup for reliable usage.
- Monitor videoconferencing meeting room functionality remotely, initiating actions to address flags and alerts until the room is fully functional.
- Drive and execute firmware upgrades or other software-related activities as necessary.
- Initiate 3rd party vendor actions for installation, configuration, replacement, repair, or changes on conferencing hardware, in collaboration with other Stefanini or customer teams.
- Collaborate with selected workplace technology suppliers and customer product teams for handover and training during site migration, acquiring know-how for future support.
Job Requirements
Key requirements:
- Full working proficiency with English.
- Experience supporting large enterprise and mid-segment customer environments on video platforms.
- Excellent hands-on experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Video Conferencing and Microsoft Teams devices (rooms, phones, etc.).
- Experience with Cisco/Tandberg, Polycom, Lifesize, or other video conferencing systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365/MS Collaboration suite and experience managing Digital Workplace and Collaboration Technologies.
- Proven technical troubleshooting and debugging experience.
- Scripting experience leveraging PowerShell and/or other programming languages.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls, and protocols.
- Knowledge of Voice communications.
- Experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes (Incident Management, Request Management, Change Management).
- Experience working in ITSM platforms (ServiceNOW, Microfocus, Remedy).
- Ability to work in an organized manner with excellent planning, organization, and time management skills, ensuring quality and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- A continuous learner with a keen interest in advancing technical skills.
- ITIL Foundations certification is a plus.
- Technical Certifications are a plus.
