About Us

We’re building a next-generation insurance company that blends deep underwriting expertise with modern technology and customer-first design. Two previous founders are launching their next venture and seeking a key executive to join the founding team.

The Role

As the Co-Founder & Chief Insurance Officer, you will lead all insurance operations, oversee regulatory filings, build relationships with carrier and reinsurance partners, develop actuarial and rating frameworks, set risk management standards, and collaborate with tech and product teams to design compliant, customer-centric products. You will also help shape the company culture, strategy, and long-term vision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead underwriting, compliance, product design and claims strategy.
  • Oversee licensing, regulatory filings and MGA structures.
  • Negotiate carrier, reinsurance, and program agreements.
  • Develop actuarial frameworks with data science and product teams.
  • Set risk management, capital and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate on customer-centric, compliant insurance products.
  • Shape company culture and long-term vision.

Who You Are

  • Licensed insurance executive or underwriter with 7+ years of experience.
  • Deep understanding of state and NAIC insurance regulation.
  • Experienced in MGA, carrier, or insurtech environments.
  • Comfortable in an early-stage, high-ownership startup.
  • Entrepreneurial with strong leadership, strategic and analytical skills.
  • Bonus if you helped launch an MGA, program, or carrier.

Compensation & Commitment

Founding equity with meaningful ownership stake, and deferred or milestone-based compensation until funding.
