About Us
Stealth Startup is a credible 3-person AI startup operating quietly until launch. The team includes the former Lead Engineer at Chess.com, a second-time founder, and a Princeton alum with a Yale MBA. The company is funded for launch with a ~$10M target valuation and plans its next round in a few months.
Why This Role Exists
This role is crafted for a hungry, reliable intern who can quickly earn increasing responsibilities. Work directly with founders, affect product, content, and operations, and see firsthand how a company is built from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
- Product & QA: Run hands-on tests of new features, collect edge cases, write crisp bug reports, and help prioritize fixes.
- AI Workflows: Craft and evaluate prompts, sanity-check outputs, and maintain lightweight evaluations and guardrails.
- Content & Demos: Create short clips, write clear how-tos/FAQs, and assemble persuasive show-and-tell artifacts.
- User Loops: Schedule and conduct mini user tests; turn feedback into actionable tickets.
- Light Ops: Organize Notion/Linear, manage small experiments, and document learnings.
- Calendar & Scheduling: Coordinate interviews, pilots, investor meetings, manage time zones, and send agendas.
Who You Are
You are resourceful, dependable and detail-oriented. You write clearly and care about voice, pacing, and user experience. Fast adaptability to tools like Notion, Linear, Figma/Framer, and editing software is essential. Bonus if you have side projects or experience with AI APIs and data wrangling.
What You’ll Get
- Mentorship from seasoned founders and a leading engineer from Chess.com.
- Ownership on meaningful, user-facing work.
- A founder-level perspective on fundraising, GTM, and product decisions.
- Potential for a paid position if performance excels.
Time & Setup
This is a part-time role (15-20 hrs/wk) suitable for students with a weekly standup and an asynchronous workflow. Occasional sprint pushes will occur around key milestones.
