Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines.
- Collect, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Support the development of ETL/ELT workflows for efficient data processing.
- Work with SQL databases and data warehouses to manage large datasets.
- Monitor data quality, integrity, and performance across data systems.
- Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to deliver reliable datasets.
- Optimise database queries and improve data processing efficiency.
- Document data engineering processes and technical workflows.
- Learn and implement cloud-based data engineering solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging data engineering tools and best practices.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Python or Java programming.
- Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with database concepts and data modelling.
- Basic knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural environment.
