About the role
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Audit Officer to join our global technology audit team. This role requires a deep understanding of technologies, processes, controls, industry standards, and related risks within a global organization. Familiarity with industry frameworks such as COBIT and NIST CSF is essential. You will collaborate with peers on a diverse global team to conduct technology infrastructure, security, and horizontal audits, working closely with State Street’s technology organization. This position offers a functional reporting line to a Vice President of Technology Audit and is located in Bangalore, India.
This role is primarily office-based with some flexible work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute technology audits and technology risk-focused validation activities.
- Collaborate effectively with a global team of peers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology risks and regulatory changes.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the Global Technology Services organization.
- Communicate audit progress and findings clearly to senior management.
- Prepare comprehensive audit work papers in adherence to the division’s audit methodology.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience auditing information technologies, security, or cyber risk management.
- Audit or assurance experience within the banking or financial services industry, or other regulated sectors.
- Experience in technology risk evaluation and developing effective audit testing strategies, with a solid understanding of banking industry regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of technology risk management, including current trends, tools, and techniques.
- Familiarity with evaluating IT infrastructure technologies such as networks, middleware, operating systems, change management, SDLC, and cloud technologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIA) are highly desirable.
