Overview

The IT Auditor Assistant Vice President role at State Street is a key position within the Corporate Audit’s Integrated Audit team. This role focuses on assessing business and IT risks, application controls, and the overall system of internal controls.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Plan, execute, and complete risk-based audits in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Assess IT governance, systems infrastructure, information security, and application controls.
  • Perform independent evaluations of control processes and compliance.
  • Document audit findings and prepare clear, actionable reports.
  • Develop strong business relationships within the Corporate Audit team and broader organization.
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to support audit activities.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Accounting or related field.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in IT/Operations auditing, risk management, or IT compliance.
  • Proven expertise in IT general and application controls with various certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM).
  • Familiarity with frameworks like COSO, COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, and regulatory standards (Sarbanes-Oxley, SOC 1 / SSAE 16).
