Investor Services Associate
State Street is seeking an Investor Services Associate to join their Alternative Investment Services Group. This role is crucial for processing transactions and maintaining client registers based on investor instructions, requiring direct communication with external parties via phone and email.
About the Team
The team is part of State Street Global Delivery (GD), which provides essential financial tools to asset owners and managers. GD supports core custody, accounting, fund administration, shareholder recordkeeping, and specialized servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity, and real estate. What You Will Be Responsible For
- Process capital activities (subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, switches, wire payments for expenses and distributions) and non-financial activities (new investor creation, static data maintenance, statement and contract note distribution, audit confirmations).
- Handle investor/client queries via telephone and email, ensuring timely resolution. Prior experience with direct investor/client communication is preferred.
- Strictly adhere to pre-established policies and procedures, including preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Aids.
- Maintain established quality, accuracy, and timeliness standards for all activities.
- Interact with host locations and clients to independently resolve queries and discrepancies related to investor accounts.
- Identify and correct discrepancies affecting accounts, or route information to the appropriate area and follow up on corrections.
- Coordinate with host locations for daily deliverables, working under tight SLAs while maintaining accuracy and timeline agreements.
- Work within predetermined deadlines, prioritizing workloads, and managing pressure effectively.
- Identify unusual or potentially suspicious transactional activity and report/escalate in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines.
Skills Required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Good English communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to interact and communicate clearly, thoroughly, and concisely with co-workers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good analytical, numerical, and reasoning skills.
- Understanding of Anti-money laundering (AML) is a plus.
