About the Role
The Hedge Fund Accounting and Administration Officer at State Street works across multiple levels of professionals, managing day-to-day accounting and administration for client sponsored investment funds. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required as you interact internally and externally.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Manage team members and assign resources effectively.
- Supervise staff from Associate 1 to Senior Associates.
- Deliver high quality client service and set KPIs.
- Act as escalation point and provide technical expertise on operational issues.
- Oversee query tracking, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to policies and continuous process improvements.
- Support onboarding of new clients and promote a collaborative environment.
- Participate in internal reporting activities and risk/compliance forums.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and staff development.
Additional Requirements
Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science, preferably in Accounting/Finance, with 5+ years of hedge fund or related accounting experience. Technical skills including complex allocation knowledge, Excel, and Geneva experience are required. You must be proactive, manage risks, and support process improvements.
Salary and Location
The annual salary range is between $75,000 and $127,500. This role applies to the primary location specified in the posting.
