Job Summary
The IT Division Manager leads the agency’s Information Technology Services at the State of Arizona. This role coordinates with executives and division heads to align technology initiatives with strategic and operational goals, ensuring compliance with state technology laws, and safeguarding agency assets.
The manager serves as the primary liaison with external service providers, oversees contracted technology projects, and directs the Technology Services Section. Responsibilities include staff supervision, project analysis, application design, software development, system analysis, and database administration.
Job Duties
- Perform complex project analysis, application programming, and database design.
- Direct the Technology Services Section and manage IT projects.
- Coordinate with executive leadership on strategic and operational plans.
- Review and approve technology purchase requests and contracts.
- Develop and update agency IT policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Expertise in IT concepts, strategic planning, quality and change management, with strong technical, analytical, and leadership skills required.
Selective Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (Master’s preferred), 7+ years of progressive IT management experience, and relevant certifications are preferred. Prior experience with vendor and contract management is a plus.

Location & Work Arrangement
