Your Opportunity
Join a Top 10 global design firm in our Buildings Practice with architecture, interior design, and building engineering services at our global headquarters in downtown Edmonton. You will engage in all stages of architectural design, from conceptual sketches to attending site visits, while receiving direct mentorship from Registered Architects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support project teams in developing architectural design documentation.
- Create sketches, physical and 3D models, diagrams, and massing studies.
- Utilize BIM technologies for three-dimensional building models.
- Participate in design critiques and pin-ups.
- Interpret and apply building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and compile site observation reports.
- Assist in evaluating building systems and materials.
- Attend coordination meetings with internal teams and external consultants.
- Implement sustainable design principles.
- Conduct site analysis and research design benchmarks and precedents.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Passion for innovation and design-focused practice.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of building construction systems and industry standards.
- Understanding of architectural document production and building codes.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, Enscape/Lumion, and Microsoft Office.
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Masters in Architecture (M.Arch) program.
- Registered or eligible as an Intern Architect with the Alberta Association of Architects.
