Overview

This Data Management Specialist I role at Stanford Health Care involves precise data entry, imaging documentation, and donor database maintenance at the Stanford Blood Center in Palo Alto, CA. You will work under direct supervision, follow standard operating procedures, and ensure the accuracy of data transfers and document imaging using Laserfiche and other systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and audit data in computer systems and databases.
  • Perform Laserfiche document imaging of donor charts and CMHCs.
  • Maintain donor logs, update DonorID systems, and generate reports.
  • Conduct clerical tasks such as filing, word processing, and answering phones.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality, health and safety protocols.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position is on-site at the Stanford Blood Center. Work involves constant sitting, occasional walking and standing, and light lifting. Candidates may also work in areas with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Education & Skills

Required: High School Diploma or GED. Must communicate effectively in English, be detail-oriented, and adapt easily to changing schedules and unplanned situations. Strong organizational, critical thinking, and customer service skills are a must.
