The Role
As a Legal Assistant at StaffScout, you will be a behind-the-scenes powerhouse responsible for drafting documents, managing legal workflows, and keeping cases moving forward. Work directly with attorneys and legal teams that value your precision, speed, and professionalism.
What You’ll Do
- Draft and review legal documents like pleadings, motions, letters, and contracts.
- Organize case files and manage deadlines, calendars, and task lists.
- Conduct legal research and compile case data for attorneys.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and legal professionals.
- Prepare exhibits, affidavits, and materials for depositions or hearings.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
What We’re Looking For
Experience as a legal assistant or paralegal is required along with familiarity with U.S. legal terms, documents, and workflows. Excellent communication skills in English, strong attention to detail, tech-savviness with legal software, and a proactive attitude are essential. Paralegal certification is a plus, but not mandatory.
