Your Responsibilities as an IT Security Specialist Information Security and Cybersecurity
As an IT Security Specialist, you will be an integral part of the company-wide information security organization, working closely with the CISO, IT Risk Management, information security officers, IT departments, and various projects.
- Provide expertise in security analyses, monitoring, technical evaluations, and operational security processes.
- Act as a competent point of contact, advising other departments on all information security matters.
- Conduct threat analyses and security assessments, and support risk analyses.
- Actively participate in security-relevant IT processes such as Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, and Incident Management.
- Drive and develop security concepts for authentication, network security, endpoint security, and secure development.
- Contribute your specialist knowledge to audits, penetration tests, and security controls.
- Ensure ongoing security monitoring and generate regular reports.
- Support IT projects in areas like security architecture, interfaces, cloud checks, and technical security requirements.
- Contribute to increasing IT resilience by improving processes and enhancing transparency and quality.
- Work on operational and strategic ISMS topics such as standards, awareness, and guidelines.
What You Bring to the Team
- A completed IT degree or several years of professional experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, or system administration.
- Basic or advanced knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27002, and GDPR; ability to apply security-relevant best practices.
- Experience with IT infrastructures, networks, operating systems, cloud technologies, or common security tools.
- Ability to analyze technical problems and develop structured, practical solutions.
- Additional know-how in Security Incident Response, SIEM, Identity & Access Management (IAM), vulnerability scans, and auditing is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and a self-organized working style.
