About The JMO Unit Coordinator Role

Are you looking to build a strong foundation in Medical Workforce and gain hands‑on experience across recruitment, rostering, payroll, and administrative operations? This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic unit where you’ll develop skills across the full spectrum of Medical Workforce functions, setting you up for long-term growth in health administration.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, contribute to essential hospital operations, and will grow your capabilities. This role rotates through the key aspects of Medical Workforce providing administrative support to team leads and managers, in the following domains for optimal staff experience:

  • End-to-end JMO recruitment,
  • Workforce transactions,
  • Rosters and payroll duties
  • Education programming and support

About You

To succeed as a JMO Unit Coordinator, you should be:

  • Experienced in recruitment, workforce transactions, rostering, or payroll in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • A strong communicator with excellent people service skills and a talent for building positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Skilled at interpreting policies, legislation, and procedures relevant to Medical Workforce activities.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to juggle priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS (Workday), and rostering systems (Kronos or similar).

About The Hospital

In this role you will be based at St Vincent’s hospital, Darlinghurst, a busy inner-city hospital in a beautiful location. It is surrounded by great cafes, galleries and theatres, parks, nightlife, and nearby glorious beaches. St Vincent's is a place of expert clinical care for at-risk people, closely partnered with universities & affiliated research institutes, many of which are located on campus. Centres of excellence include heart & lung transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, cardiology, cancer care, AIDS/HIV, respiratory medicine, mental health, homeless health, drug & alcohol services, and correctional health.
