About the Role
St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Per Diem RN. This critical role involves providing expert care to victims of crime across multiple facilities including Samaritan Hospital, Albany Memorial, and St. Peter’s Hospital. The position is per diem with rotating and on-call shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-call response in emergency departments and inpatient units.
- Complete both adult/adolescent and pediatric SANE training courses.
- Conduct forensic examinations and evidence collection.
- Testify when subpoenaed and communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and act as a mandated reporter.
Commitment & Scheduling
Nurses will commit to a minimum of 48 hours of on-call time per month using 12-hour shifts with flexible self-scheduling. A holiday on-call shift is required annually.
Qualifications
- Current RN License in New York.
- Minimum of 1 year acute bedside experience with preference for emergency care.
- BLS certification and strong critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Prior SANE/FNE experience is a plus; night shift availability preferred.
Compensation
Pay ranges from $36.50 to $49.95 per hour based on experience, skills, and education, with additional flat rate per patient seen.
