Registered Nurse - Liverpool Cardiology Office

What You Will Do
- Gather intake data, understand the reason for visit, and assist with new and follow-up patient visits.
- Support physicians in office procedures and administer treatments as ordered.
- Maintain accurate medical record documentation.
- Administer medications and vaccinations.
- Perform telephone triage and coordinate specialty testing.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Schedule referral and specialty appointments.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality nursing care is delivered according to the New York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and St. Joseph's Health standards.
- Utilize the Nursing Process to plan, direct, and supervise patient care, while also providing direct patient and family care.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification And Licensure
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Participation in orientation and continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills in areas of expertise.
Work Environment And Hazards
This position is in a clinical setting and is classified as Exposure Class I.
Physical Demands
This is a medium work position requiring frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The role also requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, and reach.
Work Contact Group
Interaction with all services, medical staff, patients, visitors, and various regulatory and professional agencies.
Supervised By
This role is supervised by a Team Leader, Clinical Coordinator, Practice Manager, and Clinical Services/Nursing Administration.
