What You Will Do
- New Material Development and Testing
- Manage stream of materials or parts for testing and analysis across internal and external sites and suppliers.
- Evaluate new Materials screening and testing.
- Where applicable, develop new process capability and specifications and roll out to internal team and/or customers.
- Ensure new material and/or process compliance with internal specifications and industry standards.
- Provide recommendations for material or process adjustments based on performance deviations and end-use requirements.
- Project Support
- Support internal R&D projects and/or early-stage application of new materials with part fabrication and test development.
- Composite part development to support material use cases.
- Strategy development of application for advanced material use cases.
What You Must Bring To Succeed
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 0 - 7 years’ experience in materials or a related engineering field.
- Experience in material testing (physical, chemical and/or mechanical).
- Familiarity with composite fabrication techniques.
- Desire to work hands-on in lab and pilot manufacturing environments.
- This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R.120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

Estimate salary range for this role: $64,400 to $95,800 per year. ST Engineering MRAS considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
