Registered Nurse Med Surg Float Pool

Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care. You will work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care.
- Formulate and revise a plan of care based on patient response to treatment and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Consult and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and revise the plan of care to meet patient needs and goals.
- Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
- Delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
- Provide educational materials to patients and families regarding care and treatments.
- Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.
Experience
2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Education
Associate Degree, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
License and Certifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse.
- Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree.
