Property Management Assistant at St Basils

Closing Date: Wednesday 10th September

As our Property Management Assistant, you will be responsible for a group of properties and young people within our operating areas during evenings and weekends. You will provide concierge services while supporting vulnerable young people, manage housing tasks such as inspections, compliance checks, repair requests, and rent account support.

Key Responsibilities

Support: Contribute to delivery of support plans, vulnerability and risk assessments, and life/social skills programmes. Help young people engage with training, education, and employment. Manage challenging behavior using Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) practices.

Tenancy & Rent Management: Manage rent accounts, assist with arrears, and support evictions and possession processes. Help young people maximise incomes and sustain benefits.

Allocations, Letting & Voids: Support void processing, tenancy ends, property inspections, repairs, cleaning, and property lettings out of hours.

Intensive Housing Management: Aid young people in sustaining tenancies, accessing employment, managing debts, and reaching housing goals through coordinated support and resident consultations.

Property & Building Management: Conduct regular inspections, ensure repairs, maintain security, monitor CCTV, perform welfare checks, and resolve emergency repairs following St Basils processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential: Possession of or willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Housing Management, Health & Social Care or a related subject. Experience with young vulnerable people, housing management, customer focused roles, and safeguarding.

Desirable: Full, current UK Driving Licence; GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above; familiarity with housing IT systems and QL.

Additional Information

This is a site-based, full time role (37.5 hours per week) with no option for home working. Regular travel between sites is required and lone working practices apply. The position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
