SSA Group at the Dallas Zoo is seeking a talented Manager Catering Operations to drive catering sales and manage event logistics. This role combines advanced sales strategies with detailed execution planning to deliver top-notch client experiences.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for negotiating contracts, performing on-site event management, coordinating internal teams, and ensuring operational excellence from planning to execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Catering Sales Strategies: Negotiate contracts, accompany venue tours, and create seasonal promotions.
• Event Planning & Execution: Develop event plans, coordinate setup and breakdown, and ensure smooth operations.
• Client Relationship Management: Manage BEOs, facilitate pre and post event meetings, and maintain client rapport.
• Vendor & Resource Management: Negotiate with vendors and maintain equipment and resources.
• Operational & Financial Management: Handle budgeting, forecasting, cost control and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of catering, sales or event management experience.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Working knowledge of Tripleseat is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
