Job Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive assessments across the dimensions of people, process, data and technology as an engagement manager by partnering with client leadership teams to develop and foster relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Challenge yourself with new problems multiple times per year – over 35% of our projects are from first time clients, with the velocity of new clients increasing every year.
  • Grow with the firm in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment – SSA & Company has nearly doubled in the past three years and is on pace to continue this trajectory.
  • Engage with and embrace emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics, and bring those innovations into client work where applicable.
  • Use data-based insights to develop actionable recommendations that drive significant improvements in operational and financial performance.
  • Design and deploy advanced analytics and digital solutions to solve our clients most challenging problems.
  • Collaborate with senior clients to define and execute implementation plans and drive change management across the client organization.
  • Assist Business Development team with market research (industry activity, targets, deal research, and marketing opportunities).
  • Mentor teammates and lead internal activities which drive professional development, internal collaboration and SSA’s unique culture.
  • Collaborate with the full firm and participate in our firm-wide events (both in person and virtual).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience operating from a strategic perspective in driving tactical and operational improvements.
  • 5+ years of experience leading project teams and managing projects with a clear demonstration and track record of success.
  • 3-5 years of prior consulting experience in a management consulting firm or internal consulting experience for a Fortune 500 company.
  • Education: Business, Economics or Engineering Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to explore and apply emerging tools—including AI and machine learning—are highly valued.
  • Exceptional resilience and critical thinking, enabling you to manage pressure, adapt to change, and solve complex problems with sound judgment.
  • Computer skills: High degree of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required, experience with Visio, Minitab or R, Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization software is preferred.
  • Proven success contributing to a team-oriented environment both as an individual contributor and a team leader.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Must be a self-starter with a commitment to high quality.
  • Excellent leadership, ethics, communication (written and oral), project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel (up to 80%).

SSA & Company provides a competitive salary range for our open requisitions. Actual salary is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, education, and other business and organizational needs. The range of starting annual salary for this role is $175,000 - $315,000. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for performance-based incentives and a competitive benefits package.
