The Role
Square is seeking high-energy, motivated professionals with strong business insight and natural sales instincts to join its Restaurant or Generalist team. As a Business Development Rep Associate, you will be foundational to the Sales Development organization, proactively outbounding to prospective sellers and articulating the value of Square's ecosystem to their businesses.
You will serve as the first point of contact, understanding the diverse needs of merchants and becoming an expert in Square's products and services that enable growth. Leveraging your persuasive personality and drive for success, you will document and track qualified opportunities for the Account Executive team. This role requires a data-driven approach to outbound sales, integrating prospecting, email communication, and calling at scale.
This position is designed as a starting point for significant growth within the Square team, with a program structured to facilitate career advancement in various BDR directions. You will have opportunities to increase your on-target earnings by leveling up within the organization prior to promotion.
You Will
- Manage a diverse pipeline of businesses and prioritize outreach to accelerate sales cycles.
- Reach out to businesses in your pipeline at scale through cold calling, emailing, and social selling.
- Promote urgency through a solutions-based sales approach, identifying business challenges and providing targeted value from Square.
- Grow your sales career through frequent developmental opportunities and mentorship from the Account Executive team.
- Consistently attain and exceed your monthly quotas.
You Have
- A desire to grow your career in sales.
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
