Spy Nation delivers immersive, real-world espionage experiences that place participants inside intelligence inspired missions. Through controlled, narrative driven scenarios involving surveillance, counterintelligence, and social-engineering, participants learn and apply elements of traditional tradecraft in a fictional environment.

Role Description

Spy Nation is seeking Role Players (individual or pair) to support live-action espionage simulations in Ottawa, Ontario. Role Players portray intelligence operatives, handlers, assets, or adversaries in scripted and semi-improvised scenarios. Some missions require two performers to coordinate social-engineering or counterintelligence narratives. The role involves direct engagement with participants, adaptability in dynamic public environments, and strict adherence to safety and consent guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scripted and improvisational roles during live espionage simulations.
• Portray characters with dialogue, behavioral cues, and situational influence.
• Engage participants and guide mission progression effectively.
• Support social-engineering scenarios solely through conversation and role play.
• Adapt performance in real time based on participant interactions.
• Maintain immersion while upholding safety, consent, and conduct standards.
• Collaborate with other Role Players and mission coordinators.
• Assist with mission setup, transitions, and debriefs as needed.

Qualifications & Additional Requirements

Applicants should have a background in acting, theatre, drama, or performance arts with strong improvisational skills, excellent communication, and situational awareness. Comfort with outdoor, physically active environments and interest in espionage, immersive theatre, or gaming is essential. Candidates must be 18 or older, available for on-site work in Ottawa, and willing to be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes. A background check may be required.
