Position Overview

This is a hybrid in-office position open to candidates currently in the Greater Austin, Texas Area or those willing to relocate. As Principal AI Engineer, you will lead the technical design and development of AI agent systems and LLM-powered capabilities. Your role spans applied research, systems design, and strategic customer engagement, including pre-sales and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Architect and implement advanced AI agent frameworks using LLMs such as GPT and Claude. Design end-to-end systems integrating planning, memory, retrieval, and tool usage. Lead model evaluation, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RLHF efforts.
• Collaboration: Work with product and engineering teams to translate AI capabilities into platform features.
• Customer Engagement: Partner with Sales and GTM teams to articulate AI strategies to enterprise clients, participate in pre-sales meetings, technical deep-dives, and innovation workshops with C-level stakeholders.
• Thought Leadership: Represent Sprinklr in conferences, webinars, and industry forums as an AI expert.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in AI/ML with 2+ years focused on LLMs and/or AI agents.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with frameworks such as LangChain, Transformers, or Ray.
• Experience building production systems using LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Exceptional communication skills and client-facing experience in pre-sales technical advisory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise AI deployment including compliance, privacy, and scalability.
• Publications, public talks, or contributions to open-source LLM/agentic frameworks.
