Job Description
About the Role: Fullstack Engineer, Podcast at Spotify
Podcast R&D, a team within Spotify's Podcast Vertical, is dedicated to building best-in-class tools for creators. We manage the platforms, tools, and features that empower the creator experience, enabling podcasters and publishers to host, create, distribute content, grow and engage audiences, and monetize on Spotify.
This role is part of the New Value area, a multi-functional team that collaborates across business, product, design, and insights to identify, evaluate, launch, and scale new content verticals and revenue models. Our ambition is to transform the Podcast Vertical into a versatile creator and publisher platform, delivering significant value to Spotify Premium and driving over $1B in incremental revenue.
We are seeking thoughtful and dedicated engineers to join our team, building tools that empower hundreds of thousands of creators monthly. As a member of a tight-knit, high-impact group, you will work with teammates committed to improving engineering practices, supporting each other's growth, and delivering world-class technology solutions for creators.
You will play a key role within a diverse, distributed squad focused on subscriptions and fandom experiences. This includes Synced Feeds, the creator tooling driving subscription awareness and conversion on Spotify; the Spotify Open Access API, which facilitates third-party-hosted subscriptions; and Podcast Subscriptions, Spotify’s proprietary hosted subscription products. In the coming year, the squad will enhance Synced Feeds, launch podcast add-ons with key partners, and develop a new, scalable version of Spotify’s native subscription offering, establishing a foundation for creators of all sizes to monetize their fans directly on Spotify.
