About Data Engineer Financial Engineering
Spotify’s Finance Engineering organization is seeking a mid level Data Engineer to join the Crunch squad. This team builds and operates data systems powering financial forecasting, performance analysis, and insights tooling.
What You'll Do
You will work with modern data processing frameworks and tooling including Python, Scala, Java, Scio, Flyte, Styx, DBT on GCP, ensuring reliable data pipelines and systems for financial forecasting and performance analysis. Responsibilities include:
- Build and operate reliable data pipelines and systems.
- Evolve schemas and data models to support new features.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into solutions.
- Improve automated financial controls to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Contribute to long-lived data product evolution in an agile environment.
Who You Are
You have at least 3 years' experience in production-quality data solutions, strong command in SQL and Python, and a commitment to data quality through monitoring and best practices. Experience with forecasting or financial domains is a plus. You are comfortable collaborating with engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders.
Where You'll Be
This role is based in Toronto with flexible work arrangements including work from home with occasional in-person meetings.
