Author Marketing Associate Manager, Spotify for Authors
Spotify is seeking an innovative, strategic, and highly impact-focused Author Marketing Associate Manager, Spotify for Authors. This role will be instrumental in driving author success on Spotify while cultivating and growing our Spotify for Authors (SFA) brand within the publishing industry. You will be the individual responsible for championing author success on Spotify.
Key focuses include ideating and executing on multi-channel author marketing campaigns that demonstrate not just Spotify’s commitment to growing author success, but playing an active role in it. Example initiatives will include our annual tentpole Wrapped for Authors moment, key industry trade & award shows, and other innovative marketing programs that foster and grow the author community on Spotify. All of this work’s aim will be to turn authors into passionate advocates of Spotify.
This position reports to the Associate Director, Audiobooks Author Growth.
What You'll Do
- Own and develop the Spotify for Authors brand — shaping its identity, tone of voice, and strategic messaging that positions Spotify for Authors as a key lever of author success.
- Lead creative development and execution of marketing initiatives that drive creator success on Spotify, including major brand moments (including Wrapped for Authors), industry events, and sponsorships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and scope campaign briefs, partnership opportunities (e.g. influencer collaborations, partner-led events), and content initiatives that support creator success and advocacy.
- Manage campaign performance reporting and measurement — translating insights into impact for the business and optimization opportunities for future efforts.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams across Consumer Marketing, Product Marketing, and Social to build integrated, multi-channel marketing plans.
- Work hand-in-hand with Partnerships team, Consumer Marketing, Product Marketing and other internal teams to embed author messaging into larger Spotify campaigns and initiatives.
- Develop a marketing strategy and playbook to grow author success on Spotify, and in turn driving their advocacy for Spotify for Authors.
- Develop expertise in AI competency to enable product marketing work to be more effective, efficient, and impactful.
Who You Are
- You have 5+ years of experience in creator marketing, brand marketing, campaign management, or a similar creative strategy role.
- You’ve led integrated marketing campaigns from brief to execution, with a strong grasp of messaging frameworks, content development, and go-to-market planning.
- You’ve had a track record in ideating innovative marketing concepts from 0-1, not being afraid to get scrappy and manage towards outcomes, no matter what hat you wear.
- You’re a skilled cross-functional collaborator, comfortable working with internal stakeholders, creative teams, and external partners.
- You bring a sharp creative perspective and strong communication skills — both written and verbal — with an ability to present to and influence senior stakeholders.
- You’re passionate about storytelling and have a genuine interest in empowering creators. Experience in the publishing industry or with author audiences is a strong plus.
- You’re detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Where You'll Be
This role is based in New York, New York. We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week.
The United States base range for this position is $94,761-$135,373, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays.
