QA Automation Engineer

About The Role

As a QA Automation Engineer at Sporty Group, you will be crucial in ensuring the quality of every product release. Unlike many organizations, Sporty Group empowers its QA team members to make critical decisions, including determining what is ready for launch and what requires further development. You will be fully integrated into the development process, participating from initial requirements capture and estimation through to final testing and deployment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Performing comprehensive testing (black box, white box, integration, and performance) across Web, Android, and iOS platforms.
• Creating automated test cases for Web, Mobile, and API functionalities.
• Tracking and analyzing automated tests to continuously enhance testing efficiency.
• Recording and analyzing product issues using various tools, providing essential feedback for corrections.
• Sharing crucial test-related information with fellow team members.
• Developing advanced automated tests and robust test frameworks.
• Improving our Continuous Integration pipeline to streamline development.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve or establish quality processes.
• Helping automate all aspects of the software engineering process.
• Writing detailed test plans and test cases, and generating comprehensive test reports based on feature requirements.
• Simulating user needs and actual usage scenarios from a user perspective.
• Reviewing designs and code from other team members and providing constructive feedback.
• Continuously developing your own skills and mentoring less experienced members of the team.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of professional testing experience.
• A BS / MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Web / Android / iOS manual testing methodologies.
• Proven experience in developing and running a Continuous Integration system.
• Familiarity with Automation testing knowledge for REST APIs.
• Experience with web debugging and API testing tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools, Postman).
• A solid understanding of various testing types: unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, stress/performance, and API testing.
• Experience in test automation for mobile applications (Android and iOS).
• Working knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL.
• Experience with Java and working knowledge of NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB) are a plus.
• Familiarity with Jira / Jenkins would be advantageous.
