About The Role
The Legal Director leads Sporty Group’s legal function, providing strategic legal advice and oversight across all business activities. This role supports senior leadership by managing legal risk, ensuring sound corporate governance, and delivering practical legal solutions that enable business objectives in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as the principal legal advisor to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and risk matters impacting the business.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and oversee a broad range of commercial and corporate agreements.
- Lead and manage litigation, disputes, and regulatory matters in coordination with external counsel.
- Oversee corporate governance matters, including Board support, corporate structure, and entity management.
- Manage and coordinate external legal advisors across jurisdictions.
- Advise on marketing, advertising, intellectual property, and consumer protection matters.
- Support strategic initiatives, partnerships, product development, and market expansion from a legal perspective.
- Monitor legal developments and assess potential impacts on the business.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Law; admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
- Experience in highly regulated or fast-growing industries.
- Significant post-qualification legal experience, including senior or leadership roles.
- Strong background in corporate and commercial law within a regulated or international environment.
- Experience managing cross-border legal matters and external counsel.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong business acumen and stakeholder management capabilities.
